National Consumer Tribunal

The National Consumer Tribunal adjudicates consumer credit and consumer protection disputes. It can impose fines on non-compliant businesses and grant refunds to consumers.

Legal Definition

The National Consumer Tribunal (NCT) is established under the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act. It hears applications from the NCR, NCC, debt counsellors, and consumers for orders including administrative fines, refunds, and compliance notices.

Practical Example
