Franchise agreements in North West are governed by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), which gives franchisees protection against unfair, unreasonable, or unjust contract terms. If a franchisor is in breach, you have recourse through mediation, the National Consumer Tribunal, or the courts.

Step 4. Request mediation through the Consumer Goods and Services Ombudsman (CGSO) or another accredited mediation body.
Step 5. If mediation fails, apply to the National Consumer Tribunal (NCT) for relief.
Step 6. For claims exceeding NCT jurisdiction, litigate in the North West High Court with the assistance of a commercial attorney.
