Land Claims Court

The Land Claims Court adjudicates land restitution claims, ESTA evictions, LTA matters, and other land-related constitutional rights. It has the same status as the High Court.

Legal Definition

Established by the Restitution of Land Rights Act 22 of 1994, the Land Claims Court (LCC) handles land restitution claims, ESTA matters, LTA matters, and constitutional challenges relating to land rights. Its decisions are appealable to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
